How to get to the Queen Elizabeth National Park?
Queen Elizabeth National Park is accessed by both road and air transport. By road, travelers can use the Kampala – Fort Portal – Kasese Highway to the park which takes about 6 to 7 hours to reach the park. Travelers can also access the park through the Kampala – Mbarara – Kasese highway which also takes about 7 hours. From Rwanda, tourists can travel from Kigali to Kabale via the Katuna or Cyanika border to Queen Elizabeth National Park. This route takes about 8 hours.
On the other hand, by air transport, travelers can use a scheduled flight from the Entebbe International Airport or Kajjansi Airstrip to Kasese Airstrip, Mweya Airstrip, and the Kihihi Airstrip. Usually, the flight to the park takes about 2 hours of the day.
