Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and Kigali city tour
Upon arrival in Rwanda, you will be picked up at the airport by our driver guide. After a short briefing about your trip, he takes you on a Kigali city tour. You will start with the genocide memorial hall which is located in the heart of the city. It portrays several pictures and videos of the Tutsis who died in the 1994 genocide against the Tutsis. The memorial hall has different sections for children and adults who were massacred. It also has a section on other genocides take took place around the world.
This emotional but educational trailer will teach you the love for one another and respect of identity. You will later tour the colorful streets of the clean city and interact with the beautiful people. You will have lunch and in the afternoon head to the markets of the local traders for a tour. In the evening you will be driven to your booked hotel in the city for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Transfer to Nyungwe National Park and canopy walk
After your breakfast in the morning, you will be transferred to Nyungwe National Park. You will have splendid views of the countryside. This journey to the park can take you about 5 hours. You will experience the calm and quiet side of Rwanda and the different landscapes.
By noon you will have arrived at your lodge in the park just in time for lunch. In the afternoon, you will take a walk on the canopy trail hanging 50 meters above the ground. This canopy walk experience is like no other in Africa as you get to have an aerial of the entire park. You will have a photo moment and watch the sun set behind the tall rainforests. In the evening you will head back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Chimpanzee tracking and transfer to Volcanoes National Park
You will have an early morning breakfast and then our driver guide will take you to the park offices. From here you will receive a pre-tracking briefing about the expected code of conduct. A professional ranger will then lead you through the thickets of the rainforests to the chimpanzee habitats.
You will be given a maximum of an hour in the presence of the chimpanzees. This one encounter with these chimpanzees will give you thrilling memories at are everlasting. You will then be driven back to the lodge for your lunch. In the afternoon, you will be transferred to Volcanoes National Park. You will arrive at the park by evening just in time for dinner and overnight at your booked lodge.

Day 4: Gorilla trekking, Dian Fossey hike, and guided nature walks
In the morning, you will be served breakfast before our driver-guide picks you up. He will then drive you to the park offices for a short briefing. A professional guide will then guide you through the thick vegetation of the park on a search for the endangered mountain gorillas. This will be after categorizing you into groups of 8 to able effective management and reduce stress for the mountain gorillas. Upon allocation of the mountain gorillas, you will be given an hour with them in their natural habitats.
You will then head to the Karisoke Research Center for a Dian Fossey hike. This hike will take you to the grave of Dian Fossey and explore the Karisoke Research Center. Dian Fossey was a renowned conservationist who fought for the protection and conservation of mountain gorillas. This hike will take you until you head back to your lodge for lunch. After your lunch you will take on a guided nature walk in the park. This walk is a great opportunity to explore the park on foot and get close to the wildlife.
You will encounter several bird, primate, and wildlife species along the designated hiking trails. You enjoy the calm, quiet, and refreshing breeze of the natural rainforests of the park. Day 5: Gorilla trekking, cultural tour and transfer to Akagera National Park
Early morning after your breakfast, you will embark on a gorilla trekking experience in the park. It will begin with a pre-trekking briefing and after be grouped in groups of 8 before heading to the forests. A ranger will then lead the way to the forests for a chance to encounter the mountain gorillas. Along your trekking trail, you will encounter several other primates like blue monkeys, colobus monkeys, and vervet monkeys among others. You will also view several bird and wildlife species. After you have sought the mountain gorillas, you will have an hour with them and observe them in their natural habitats.
You will head to Ibyi’wacu Cultural Village for a cultural tour. Traditional dancers and singers will welcome you and the guide will show you around. You will learn about the culture of the Rwandan people and interact with the elders. You will later travel back to your lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, you will hit the road to Akagera National Park. This 4-hour journey will take you until evening when you arrive at your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Game drive and Departure
You will wake up to a delicious breakfast on the last day of your 6 days Rwanda double gorilla trek and chimpanzee tour. You will then take on a game drive in the savannah plains of the park. This game drive will expose you to a variety of wildlife species including the big five animals. You will also view several bird species including the Rift Valley endemics. After your game drive. You will head back to the lodge for lunch and check out. Our driver guide will transfer you to Kigali International Airport for your departure flight back home.
