The 4 days Nyungwe chimpanzee and Congo gorilla trekking safari will start from Kigali to Congo and back to Kigali. The destinations to be visited are Nyungwe National Park, Kahuzi Beige National Park, and a Kigali city tour. The activities here will include a city tour, chimpanzee trekking, and gorilla trekking. Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park. (canopy walk)
On this day one of the 4 days Nyungwe chimpanzee and Congo gorilla trekking safari, you will start your safari with the pick and transfer to the Nyungwe Forest National Park. Upon arrival in the park, you will have lunch and then proceed with the canopy walk around the Ruzizi hills in the park. You will encounter many primates and thousands of birds roaming the park. For butterfly lovers, you will get an opportunity to spot some. Then later you will be transferred back to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking in the Nyungwe Forest National Park and transfer to Bukavu
On day 2 of the 4 days at Nyungwe Forest National Park and Congo gorilla safari, you will proceed to the park headquarters for the amazing chimpanzee trekking. This activity will start with the briefing and then after proceed with the activity where you will track the chimpanzees in their natural habitat. You will have one hour to see the chimpanzees in their natural habitat.
Later on, you will move back to the hotel for lunch and then embark on the route to Bukavu in Congo via the Cyangugu border. On arrival in Bukavu, you will check in to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Gorilla trekking in the Kahuzi Biega National Park
On the second last day of the 4 days Nyungwe chimpanzee and Congo gorilla trekking safari, you will be transferred to Kahuzi Biega National Park for the amazing lowland gorilla trekking. The activity will begin with the briefing and later proceed with the low-land gorilla trekking. Lowland gorilla trekking is not as challenging as mountain gorilla trekking.
With the help of our experienced rangers and guides, you will be able to spot the gorillas in the shortest time possible. The activity will last for one to seven hours then you will have one hour to view the gorillas in their natural environment. Later, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Transfer to Kigali (city tour)
On this last day of the 4 days of Nyungwe chimpanzee and gorilla trekking safari, you will be transferred back to Kigali for the outbound flights. On arrival in Kigali, you will proceed to the hotel for lunch. Later on, you will be transferred to the airport for your outbound flight.
