9 Days Uganda Safari

The 9 days safari in Uganda is a great experience, it gives one a chance to learn more about the pearl of Africa; because from the north to the south and east to west Uganda is a summary of the whole world at a single glance. The source of the River Nile is a unique attraction on a Uganda safari, continuously the great rock paintings of the early inhabitants of Uganda followed by the natural attractions - flora and fauna.

The wild arena of Uganda is vastly gifted with majestic animals like lions, elephants, zebras, and the great herds of buffalos in the plains of Kidepo National Park. Culture is also an incredible part of a full Ugandan safari presenting people’s heritage and prestige. A safari in Uganda is more of an adventure, as you encounter different cultures and natural features.

Day 1: Pick up from the airport to the hotel for accommodation

You will be picked up from the airport by our guide who will later take you through the highlights of your safari, availing different information regarding the trip like the documents needed and other tools that might be needed for this tour. Thereafter he will lead you to the check-in place of the accommodation facility where you will have a night stay and dinner. As you prepare for the day upfront of your safari.

Day 2: Kampala city tour

In the morning the guide will pick you up from the hotel and drive to the first destination in the city, which is a visit to the martyrs’ shrine in Namugongo. This is a point where the historical Uganda Martyrs were killed by Kabaka Mwanga the then king of Buganda. There after driving to Ndere Cultural Center to experience the aura of Uganda’s cultural tourism at its maximum, here you witness a lot of tribes like the Baganda, Acholi, Banyankole, and many others.

You will have lunch from this place and later proceed to Bahai temple, the only Monks temple in Uganda, and conclude the day with a visit to the beach to enjoy Kampala city and Lake Victoria while enjoying the delicious fish served from the fresh waters of Lake Victoria. Then head back to the hotel later in the evening to rest.

Day 3: Transfer to Jinja to explore the source of the River Nile

Start the day with a morning drive to Jinja city –the source of the mighty Nile River, the longest river in Africa. Here you will be able to know the real source of the Nile and its origin, and optional activities such as rafting, bungee jumping and zip lining can be experienced.

You will be able to learn more about the Basoga culture; their delicacy, and standards of living, and also have your lunch from this place. Later in the evening, enjoy the taste of a well-fried fish from the fresh waters of the River Nile enjoy an entire evening at your booked hotel, and have dinner ready for the following morning.

Day 4: Transfer to Kidepo National Park

Early morning transfer to Kidepo National Park with a stopover in Soroti town for your lunch and a visit to the light of the town, their highly praised rock that stands right immediately outside the town. Proceed to Kidepo through undulating Karamoja plains. Approach the park and check in to the lodge for your accommodation and dinner.

Day 5: Early morning game drive with an afternoon visit to the Karamojong communities

Early morning game drive within the true African wilderness ready for the wonderful sunrise and sweeping landscapes at your glance. Spot the great herds of Buffalos, lions, leopards, Giraffes, and many other animals. Birds are also a perfect show to you that Uganda is a land of wonders and filled with lots of wild experiences.

Afternoon visit to the Karamojong community in the park, you will see them as they take their dance proposed they see their cattle jumping up and down, their cuisines and way of life, here you will also learn the historical background of the Karamojong people and their culture. Later return to the lodge for rest and dinner in preparation for the next day.

Day 6: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

Early morning transfer to Murchison Falls National Park in northwest Uganda, with a stop-over for lunch at a chosen hotel. Connecting from Gulu town, we shall arrive in the park late in the evening for hotel check-in, dinner, and rest.

Day 7: Early morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise along the Nile

An early morning game drive gives you a chance to see at least four of the big five animals in the park. These include lion, elephant, buffalo, and leopard. Plus, other animals like giraffes, antelopes, and so many others. Plus, a vast plant life known as the whistling acacia, you will get to know that the park is divided into two sectors by river Nile - the southern and northern sections. The experience will be retained by you as we head to the lodge for relaxation and lunch.

In the afternoon, a rewarding boat cruise along the Nile River comes in handy. Here you will have a chance to see a lot of aquatic life such as fish, and Nile crocodiles and you’ll see the different wild animals as they come to drink water along the Nile. During the cruise, you will also be able to drive up to the waterfalls upon which you will experience the gushing waterfalls while passing through a narrow gorge of only 7m. You will also have a chance to see other species like birds along the Nile. Return to the lodge for rest and dinner.

Day 8: Transfer back to Kampala city. Ziwa rhino experience en-route

You will be picked up from the lodge by our guide early in the morning and start your journey back to Kampala city. First stop-over at Ziwa to track the rare southern white Rhinos, have your lunch after the trek and proceed to Kampala city for hotel check-in.

There is a chance to experience the city's nightlife and shop for some African souvenirs from renowned craft markets in the city. This day is concluded with dinner and overnight rest.

Day 9: Transfer from your hotel to the airport for exit flight

Head to the airport after breakfast and the driver guide will drop you at Entebbe International Airport which will mark the end of the 9 days Uganda safari.
