Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Arrive at the Entebbe International Airport and meet our professional driver guide. The guide will brief you about the 6 days golden monkeys and gorillas safari. You will hit the road to western Uganda (Queen Elizabeth National Park). You will make a stopover at the Uganda Equator for photography. Proceed with a transfer through lush green vegetation and rolling hills. Upon arrival in the park, you will check in to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Full-day adventure in Queen Elizabeth National Park
Today, you have a full-day adventure in Queen Elizabeth National Park. Here, you will enjoy a game drive and spot a variety of wildlife, including lions, leopards, elephants, and many others. Later in the afternoon, you will be transferred to Kazinga Channel for a boat cruise. Your chances of seeing many animals lie here. Some of the animals to expect include hippos, elephants, and buffaloes. In the evening, you will drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After your early breakfast, you will transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in southwestern Uganda. During the transfer, you will do a game drive in the southern sector (Ishasha) of Queen Elizabeth National Park. This sector is famous for being home to the rare tree-climbing lions. Additionally, you will see many bird species in this region. Drive the Buhoma road until you reach Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Upon arrival, check in to a lodge for dinner and spend the night over.

Day 4: Gorilla trekking and transfer to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park
A typical gorilla trekking day in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park starts as early as 7:00 am. It all starts with a delicious meal at the lodge. Later, the driver will take you to the briefing point. Here, you are taught the dos and don’ts of gorilla trekking. Gorilla trekking is a group activity. This means that you will be assigned a gorilla family and given a group to track.
You will enter the impenetrable forests of Bwindi and start the search for mountain gorillas. The activity takes between 2 and 8 hours. Upon meeting the gorillas, you will be allowed to spend one hour in their presence. Later on, you will have a lunch break and drive to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. Arrive in time for dinner and spend the night at a lodge.

Day 5: Golden monkey trekking and Batwa community tour
Just like gorilla trekking, golden monkey trekking in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park starts with a briefing session. After the briefing, trekkers enter the jungle and search for the playful monkeys. Upon meeting the golden monkeys, you will be allowed to spend one hour in their presence. Break for lunch and then visit the Batwa villages in the park. Here, you will engage in activities like coffee roasting, cultural dance, and many others. In the evening, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Transfer to Kampala – Departure
You are now on the last day of your 6 days golden monkeys and gorillas safari. The day starts with a delicious meal. Check out of the lodge and hit the road to Kampala.
