After finishing immigration and customs clearances at Katuna or Cyanika Border, you drive straight to the Safari Lodge to leave, dine, and rest for the night.

Day 2: The Mind-boggling Bwindi Gorilla trekking tour and drive back to Kigali

Covering an area of about 124 square miles, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a wonderful base for trekking the endangered mountain gorillas. For your trek, this day, Brace yourself with a long-sleeved shirt, breathtaking safari pants, hiking boots, safari hat, gardening gloves, insect repellant, and backpack before enriching your body with a delicious breakfast. These preparations lead you to the Park Headquarters for a briefing on the pursuit. At 8:00 am begin the walk slowly while making stops to take photos and identify different creatures along the way.

Throughout this guided walk, your experienced Ranger guide will offer phenomenal insight into the Park’s animals, birds, butterflies, and trees. Take the allocated one hour to photograph and watch these Giant Apes live their normal lives of foraging, resting, grooming one another, playing, and mating.
