Welcome to your 5 days Uganda and Rwanda chimpanzee tour, a stunning adventure that will take you through the best safari destinations in the world. You will explore the landscapes and rich biodiversity of Uganda and Rwanda. You will also encounter the chimpanzees and spend some quality time with them in their natural habitats. These playful primates will be spotted in Kibale National Park and Kyambura Gorge in Uganda and Nyungwe Forest National Park in Rwanda. On your way to the chimpanzee habitats, you will come across other small primates like vervet monkeys, and olive baboons among others. Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Kibale National Park
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be ushered into the country by our driver guide. He will take you through what you will expect while on your 5 days Uganda and Rwanda chimpanzee tour. He will then transfer you to Kibale National Park and lunch will be en route. You will make stopovers at the tea plantations and observe how tea is harvested. You will later by evening arrive at your lodge in the park for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
In the morning, you will have breakfast before setting out to the park offices. At the offices, you will receive pre-tracking guidelines, rules, and regulations. These are meant to guide you through the tracking process and the expected code of conduct. A professional ranger will then guide you through the Kibale jungles to the chimpanzee habitats. From here you will spend an hour observing these chimpanzees in their natural habitat. After this special encounter, you will be driven back to your lodge for lunch and check out. In the afternoon, you will be transferred to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. By the time it clocks evening, you will have arrived at your lodge in the park for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Gorilla trekking and transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park
You will wake up to a delicious breakfast before heading to the offices for a short briefing. This briefing is about the rules and regulations of gorilla trekking which are meant to protect you and the gorillas as well as conserving their natural habitats. After the briefing, you will be led by a ranger to the impenetrable forest on a search for the mountain gorillas. You will come across other smaller primates while ways like vervet monkeys, blue monkeys, and more.
After these endangered mountain gorillas have been sought, you will spend an hour observing them go on with their daily duties. You will afterward be taken back to your lodge for lunch and check out. Our driver will then transfer you to Nyungwe Forest National Park in Rwanda through the Katuna border. This journey will take you over 8-10 hours and you will be at your lodge just in time for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Chimpanzee tracking and canopy walk
In the morning, you will have breakfast and be driven to the park offices. A professional ranger will then take you through the rules and regulations of chimpanzee tracking. You will then be led to the forest by an experienced ranger on a search for chimpanzees. Upon allocation of the chimpanzees, you will be given one hour with them.
After this activity, you will head to your lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, you will have a canopy walk on the 50-meter trail above the ground in the park. You will have an aerial view of the park and have a photo moment for unforgettable memories. While on this walk, you will spot the different vegetation zones in the park. In the evening, you will head back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Transfer to Kigali – Departure
The final day of your 5 days Uganda and Rwanda chimpanzee tour will begin with a delicious breakfast early in the morning. You will then check out of your lodge and hit the road to Kigali. You will be served lunch as you get to the city before being transferred to the airport. You will arrive at the airport just in time for your departure flight back home. This will mark the end of your amazing 5 days Uganda and Rwanda chimpanzee tour.
