Welcome to your 24 days Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, and Zanzibar safari where you will combine all the best safari destinations of the world. During this trip, you will enjoy East Africa’s best diverse biodiversity and landscapes. You will be amazed by a variety of encounters from the endangered mountain gorillas of Rwanda and Uganda to the savannah experiences of Kenya and Tanzania as well as the beautiful beaches of Zanzibar. Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival and Kigali city tour

Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be picked up by our driver guide and transferred to your booked hotel in the city. You will have lunch and embark on a Kigali city tour. You will visit the genocide sites in the city such as the genocide memorial hall, Nyamata church as well as the clean streets of Kigali and the local markets. In the evening you will head back to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park and guided nature walks

In the morning, you will have breakfast, and after checking out of your hotel travel to Nyungwe Forest National Park. On arrival at the park, you will check into your lodge and have lunch. Immediately after your lunch, you will have a guided nature walk in the park led by a professional guide. You will encounter several primate and bird species as well as visit waterfalls and spot the different vegetation zones in the park. You will later head back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Chimpanzee tracking and canopy walk

You will be picked up immediately after your breakfast and transferred to the Nyungwe offices for a briefing from the rangers before tracking of chimpanzees. After the briefing, you will be led by a ranger through the Nyungwe forest to the chimpanzees. You will spend an hour with the chimpanzee observing them roam around in their rainforest habitat.

You will afterward return to your lodge for lunch. Our driver guide will then drive you to the canopy trail in the park. This trail is suspended over 50 meters above the ground and is the only one in Africa. Taking a walk on this trail will give you an aerial view of the park overlooking the different vegetation zones in the park. After a photo moment at the trail, you will go back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park and cultural tour

While at the lodge, you will be served an early breakfast to prepare you for the journey to Volcanoes National Park. You will enjoy the beautiful scenery of the countryside as you move to Volcanoes National Park. On arrival at the park, you will have lunch. In the afternoon, you will take on a cultural tour of Ibyi’wacu cultural village. You will visit the artifacts of Rwanda’s heritage and also be entertained by the traditional dancers and songs. In the evening, you will go back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Gorilla trekking and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

On the 5th day of your 24 days Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, and Zanzibar safari: You will have breakfast, and after our driver will take you to the park offices from where you will receive a pre-trekking briefing. After the briefing, you will be grouped and led by a professional ranger to the forests of Volcanoes in a search for the mountain gorillas.

After trekking the forest, you will reach the habitat of the gorillas. You will be allowed to spend an hour with the gorillas. After this, you will head back to your lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, you will be transferred to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. By evening, you will be checking into your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Gorilla trekking and Batwa community tour

In the morning, you will wake up to a delicious breakfast served at your lodge in the park. You will then embark on a gorilla trekking experience in Bwindi of the endangered mountain gorillas. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is blessed with over half of the entire world’s population of mountain gorillas with over 50 families and 18 are habituated. You will trek these mountains immediately after a short briefing. You will spend an hour with these primates before going back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park and boat cruise

In the morning, you will have breakfast at your lodge and thereafter our driver guide will drive you to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will be met with impressive scenes of the countryside and view the locals as they go by with their businesses. You will have stopovers at the tea plantations and factories for an educational tour on the manufacturing of tea beverages. You will then proceed to your lodge at the park for lunch.

In the afternoon, you will take on a boat cruise experience on the Kazinga Channel. You will encounter various wildlife species like hippos, crocodiles, and also other animals on the shore like elephants, buffaloes, and more. After this, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Game drive and Transfer to Kibale National Park

As you wake up in the morning, you will be served an early morning breakfast before setting out to park for a game drive safari. You will spot numerous wildlife species like lions, leopards, buffaloes, elephants, antelopes, hyenas, and warthogs among others. Game drives give you a chance of getting up close to the animals in the comfort of your vehicle.

After the game viewing you will go back to the lodge for lunch. Our driver will then pick you up immediately after you have checked out of your lodge to hit the road to Kibale National Park. You will enjoy the scenic views of the countryside while on your way. By evening you will be already at your lodge just in time for dinner and overnight. Mark the end of your 8th day of your 24 days Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, and Zanzibar safari.

Day 9: Chimpanzee trekking and Bigodi wetland tour

In the morning, you will have breakfast and embark on a chimpanzee trekking safari. You will be led by a professional ranger who will take you through a short briefing before heading out to trek. You will come across different primate species like olive baboons, vervet monkeys, and many more as well as bird species. On location of the chimpanzees, you will be given an hour with them observe them, take pictures, and leave the moment.

You will thereafter head back to your lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, you will go on a tour of the Bigodi wetland where you encounter various bird species, wildlife, and primate species. A walk in Bigodi will give you a feel of walking with nature. In the evening, you will head back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 10: Travel to Murchison Falls National Park and guided nature walks

Early in the morning, you will have breakfast and after checking out of the lodge our driver guide will transfer you to Murchison Falls National Park. By lunch time you will be at the lodge in the park and have your meal. You will take on a guided nature walk in the park led by an armed professional ranger who will help you explore the park on foot. You will encounter some wildlife species like antelopes, elephants, and more and water the sun setting on the savannah plains. When you go by to your lodge, you will have dinner and sleep.

Day 11: Game drive and boat cruise on the Nile

You will have a game-viewing adventure in the morning immediately after your breakfast. Our driver guide will take you through the savannah plains of the park from where you will encounter a variety of wildlife species. You will then be driven to the Murchison Falls area and the waterfalls will surely steal the show. You will take time and wonder about the strength of Murchison Falls and observe the beauty and harmony of the rainbow above it. The thunderous roar of the Murchison Falls will leave you with no doubt that it is surely the strongest waterfall in the world.

You will have lunch and head downstream to the landing site for a boat cruise experience on the Victoria Nile. You will come across the best of the marine life of the park run by heavy-weight hippos and dangerous Nile crocodiles. The shores of the river will be populated by the usual suspects of elephants, waterbucks, buffaloes, and many others. After your boat cruise, you will head back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 12: Transfer to Sipi Falls and coffee tours

After your delicious breakfast, you will travel to Sipi Falls in the eastern region of Uganda. This 5-hour journey will take you until you arrive at your lodge in Sipi for lunch. You will thereafter take on a coffee tour around the plantations on Mount Elgon. This area is fertile with volcanic soils which are fit for growing Arabica coffee. You will learn the different ways of planting and harvesting the coffee. In the evening, you will head to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 13: Hike to the top of Sipi Falls and transfer to Kampala

Hiking to the top of Sipi Falls will be your next activity immediately after your breakfast in the morning. On this hike, you will be led by an experienced guide who will take you through the different trails until the top. You will pass by the two waterfalls of Simba and Ngasire to the main 100-meter Sipi Falls. You will have incredible views of the coffee plantations in the distance and the villages. After having a photo moment at the Sipi Falls, you will return to your lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, you will be transferred to Kampala and you will be there by evening at your booked hotel, have dinner, and rest.

Day 14: Travel to Masa Mara National Reserve

In the morning, you will have a delicious early morning breakfast and check out of your hotel. You will then travel to Masai Mara via the Busia border. This journey will take you roughly the whole day and lunch will be en route to the reserve. You will be blessed with beautiful scenes of the landscape of Kenya. In the evening after arriving at your lodge in the reserve, you will be served dinner and rest for the night ahead.

If you do not fancy driving the long distance, you may book a chartered flight from Entebbe International Airport to Masai Mara National Reserve.

Day 15: Game drive and Masai community tour

A game drive in the Masai Mara National Reserve is something to surely look out for that is highly anticipated by many. The reserve is gifted with various wildlife species including the big 5 animals, antelopes, waterbucks, hyenas, warthogs, and wildebeest among others. Game drives usually take place around the Mara River because it hosts a variety of wildlife species. The Mara River is the main water source for the reserve thus attracting many animals both prey and predators. After a fruitful game drive, you will have lunch at your lodge in the reserve.

After that, you will take on a Masai community tour where you will visit the Masai homes and observe their ways of life. You will observe them graze their livestock in the park together with the wildlife. The Masai people will entertain you with their traditional dances and you take part in their activities like cattle rearing practices, and food preparation among other things. You will head back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 16: Transfer to Amboseli National Park

After being served a delicious breakfast early in the morning, you will be transferred to Amboseli National Park. You will encounter several attractions while on your way including diverse landscapes, and wildlife species among other things. You will be served lunch while on the way. You will also view the life of the locals as they go by with their usual businesses. The moment you arrive at your lodge in the park, you will be served dinner and you rest for the night ahead.

Day 17: Game drive and guided nature walks

Our driver guide will in the morning after your breakfast take you on a game drive adventure safari in the park. You will encounter many wildlife and bird species as they roam around the savannah. The park is famous for its large herds of savannah elephants. While in the park you will enjoy spending some time with these gentle giants while in the comfort of your vehicle. You will also spot other animals including the cape buffaloes, lions, antelopes, warthogs, and many more.

You will later be transferred back to your lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, you will engage in a nature walk guided by a professional armed ranger. You will enjoy the park up close as you explore it on foot. You encounter different wildlife species like elephants, antelopes, warthogs, and many more. You head back to your lodge later in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 18: Transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

You will have breakfast, check out, and after our driver guide will pick you up. He will then transfer you to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area in Tanzania. You will pass through the Namanga border and lunch will be en route. You will enjoy lots of sceneries of the wild side of the two countries before checking into your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 19: Game viewing and Bushmen community tours

After your delicious breakfast early morning, you will embark on a game drive experience in Ngorongoro. Game viewing in Ngorongoro takes you on a whole new safari as you will have the best of the African wild side. The game drives in the conservation area take place in the crater rim because of its fresh green pasture. This leads to the attraction of the prey grazers that flock to the crater rim as their nemesis the predators follow them.

You will have an action-packed adventure as the prey and predators battle it out in the quest for survival of the fittest. You will view animals like lions, leopards, buffaloes, cheetahs, wildebeest, elephants, and antelopes among others while in the comfort of your vehicle.

You will later on after satisfying your eyes with the beautiful scenes of the wild head to your lodge for lunch. In the after lunch, you will visit the bushmen communities for a tour. These bushmen have spectacular survival skills that have helped them to survive in the wild for long. You will enjoy their presence and learn a thing or two about survival. In the evening you will have dinner back at your lodge and overnight.

Day 20: Visit Olduvai Gorge and transfer to Serengeti National Park

You will be served breakfast in the morning and after you will take a tour of Olduvai Gorge the cradle of mankind. This is a place in Ngorongoro where the oldest skull of a human being was discovered. You will also visit the museum and get to view the historical artifacts and the remains of the first humans to walk the earth. You will have lunch, check out, and later be transferred to Serengeti National Park by our driver guide. By evening you will be at the lodge in Serengeti in time for your dinner and overnight.

Day 21: Full-day game drive

While at your lodge in Serengeti in the morning, you will be served breakfast before heading out. You will engage in a wildlife exhibition while on a full-day game drive in the park. You will exhaust every corner of the park and view several wildlife species. Serengeti National Park is a platinum of adventure where the savannah’s finest species showcase their brilliance. Lions, leopards, hyenas, elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, waterbucks, cheetahs, and a lot more are some of the wildlife species in the park.

You will have your lunch inside the park as you enjoy your delicious meal while being entertained by the scenic views of the wild. After your lunch, you will move on with your drive in the park until the evening before heading back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 22: Transfer to Arusha and fly to Zanzibar

In the morning, you will be transferred to Arusha immediately after your breakfast and check out. Upon arrival at the Arusha Airport, you will board a flight to Zanzibar airport immediately after your lunch. In the evening, you will arrive at your hotel in Zanzibar for dinner and overnight.

Day 23: Guided nature walks in Jozani Forest Reserve and beach tours

You will be served an early morning breakfast at your hotel and check out after. You will head to Jozani Forest Reserve for a guided nature walk. You will encounter a lot of attractions including primate species like red colobus among others. You will have lunch and then after head for a fun time at the beautiful beaches on the coastline. You will engage in several activities such as surfing, swimming, beach games like beach soccer, and more. You will then have dinner and an overnight at your lodge.

Day 24: Transfer to the Zanzibar airport – Departure

In the morning as you get up, a delicious breakfast will be served to prepare you for the final day of your 24 days Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, and Zanzibar safari. Our driver guide will help you with your luggage as you check out of your hotel. From here you will begin your journey to the airport for your departure and lunch will be en route. You will arrive at the airport in the afternoon in time for your departure flight back home. This marks the end of your amazing 24 days Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, and Zanzibar safari.
