Overview

Bwindi National Park is known as the home of the mountain gorillas in Uganda, Kibale National Park is the primate capital of the world that is famously known for chimpanzee tracking and habituation experiences while Queen Elizabeth National Park is commonly known for its tree climbing lions and the underground forest of the Kyambura Gorge where chimpanzee tracking is done.

Your safari will start at Entebbe International Airport and ends at the same airport.


Schedule

Day One: Entebbe International Airport – Transfer to Kibale National park /Fort portal
You will be picked from the airport or the hotel you spent your night by your driver/guide who is our company representative. He will brief you about the safari itinerary and then you will start your journey to Kibale National Park in Fort Portal. This park is known for its large population of chimpanzees. You will have lunch en route. Dinner and overnight rest will be at the lodge booked for you.

Day Two: Chimp trekking and nature walk in Bigodi swamp
Early in the morning after your breakfast, you will assemble at the park headquarters for briefing about the chimpanzee trekking rules from the park ranger. During the trekking, expect to see other types of primates like the grey-cheeked mangabey and red-tailed monkey.  There will be plenty of bird and you will hear them singing sweet melodies in the forest although it may be very hard to spot them. After your lunch, you will go for nature walk in Bigodi Swamp. Here you will be to see different aquatic animals and birds. Dinner and overnight rest will be at the lodge reserved for you.

Day Three: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National park
After your morning breakfast, you will drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will have lunch when you get to the park and relax a bit. Later you will go for an evening game drive where you will be able to see a variety of birds and animals like the tree climbing lions, antelopes, buffaloes, elephants and warthogs to mention but a few. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the lodges booked for you.

Day Four: Morning Game drive and boat Cruise on the Kazinga Channel.
After an early breakfast, you will drive to Ksenyi for an early morning game drive to see different animals like herds of Buffaloes, Elephants, Warthogs and tree climbing Lions among others. After the game drive, you will return to the lodge for lunch. Later after your lunch break, you will go for a boat cruise on Kazinga channel where you will encounter a large number of hippos, crocodiles and a variety of water bird species at the shores. Dinner and overnight rest will be at the lodge booked for you.

Day Five: Chimpanzee tracking in Kyambura Gorge and then transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
You will wake early enough, have your breakfast and then go for briefing before to start trekking Chimpanzees which are the closest to man in nature but you will also encounter other primates like the monkeys. The trekking may take some long hours and therefore you will have to carry your packed lunch as you may not be able to return to the lodge for lunch. After lunch, you will start on your journey to Bwindi national park.  Your dinner at and overnight will be at either.

Day Six: Gorilla trekking experience
You will enjoy an early morning breakfast and then assemble at the park headquarters for briefing about the gorilla trekking rules from the park ranger. A guide will take you through the forest in search of the mountain gorillas as he will know where they were the previous day. You will need to carry your packed lunch because Gorilla trekking will take hours between 1-10 and once found, you will have one hour  to spend with them and watch them play with each other, feed their young ones and care for each other so that you the best memories of your gorilla trip. After tracking, you will travel to Kabale where you will spend the night and have your dinner as well.

Day Seven: Transfer from Bunyonyi to Kampala
After your morning breakfast, you will go for a canoe ride on Lake Bunyonyi to give you an opportunity to see various birds and different islands. Later you will drive back to Kampala with an en-route lunch and then proceed to the airport to catch your scheduled flight back home.
End of the Safari.
