Safari in details
The day will open up early morning at 6am with introduction and briefing from our company safari guide who will give you all the details involved in this trip. You will then start your drive to the deep south-western parts of Uganda as the journey is about 8-10 hours’ drive depending on the nature of traffic jam in the Kampala capital city. 70km into this drive along the Masaka road you will make your first stopover for a photo session on the Equator Monument in Kayabwe.
While at the equator, you will have a picture moment showing how you crossed the world in the middle from the northern hemisphere to the southern hemisphere. Right after this experience we shall proceed to Mbarara town while crossing the dry plains of Lake Mburo National Park for a hot lunch stopover as well as refreshments.
Right after lunch, we shall continue with our journey to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park arriving late in the evening for dinner and relaxation as we prepare for the next day’s Mountain Gorilla Trekking excursion.
