During this 4 days Virunga gorilla trekking safari, you will be transferred from Kigali to Bukima in Congo for the amazing gorilla experience in the Virunga National Park. Additionally, you will get up close with mountain gorillas and learn about their behaviors. You will also have the city tour where you will have to visit the museum, local markets, and many others then later transfer to the airport for an outbound flight.
Day 1: Pick up from the airport and transfer to the hotel
Day 2: Transfer to Bukima Town
Day 3: Gorilla trekking in the Virunga National Park
Day 4: Transfer to Kigali for Departure
On day one of the 4 days of the Virunga gorilla trekking safari, you will be picked up by the company guide. He or she will transfer you in the 4x4 van to your hotel for dinner, relaxation, and overnight. You may take a Kigali City tour and visit the Rwanda Genocide Museums. You will see the remains of thousands who lost their lives during the 1994 bloody Rwanda Genocide. You will return to your hotel for dinner in the evening and spend the night over.

After breakfast on day 2 of your 4 days of Virunga gorilla trekking safari, your guide will brief you on how the safari will be and what you expect to do while on the safari. Later on, you will embark on your journey to Bukima the nearest town to Virunga National Park via the Gisenyi border. On arrival in Bukima, you will check into the lodge for dinner, relaxation, and overnight. You will enjoy the scenic views of the endless rolling hills of Rwanda. It is here that you will prove that Rwanda is indeed “The Land of a Thousand Hills.”

On this day three of the 4 days of the Virunga gorilla trekking safari, you will be transferred to the Virunga National Park after your early morning breakfast for the amazing gorilla trekking. This activity will last for 1 to 7 hours and you will have one hour to view the gorillas in their natural habitat as you observe their way of living, mode of feeding, and many others. The park is also home to many bird and primate species. Later you will be transferred back to the hotel for dinner, relaxation, and overnight.

On your last day of the 4 days of Virunga gorilla trekking safari, you will be transferred back to Kigali via the Gisenyi border. On arrival in Kigali, you will have your lunch and later proceed to Kigali. The driver will drop you at the Kigali International Airport for your outbound flight. This will mark the end of your amazing 4 days of the Virunga gorilla trekking safari.
