Day 1: Kigali City to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, via Cyanika or Katuna Border

Following a hearty breakfast at your Kigali Hotel or on finalizing immigration and customs clearance at Kigali International Airport, wait for pick-up from your private safari driver. Journey to the renowned UNESCO World Heritage Site in southwestern Uganda where most dreams of meeting face to face with Mountain gorillas are achieved. En route to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park relish the breathtaking sceneries of Rwanda’s hilly/mountainous landscapes (where the title “land of a thousand hills was gleaned. After finishing immigration and customs clearances at Katuna or Cyanika Border, you drive straight to the Safari Lodge to leave, dine, and rest for the night.

Day 2: The Mind-boggling Bwindi Gorilla trekking tour and drive back to Kigali

Covering an area of about 124 square miles, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a wonderful base for trekking the endangered mountain gorillas. For your trek, this day, Brace yourself with a long-sleeved shirt, breathtaking safari pants, hiking boots, safari hat, gardening gloves, insect repellant, and backpack before enriching your body with a delicious breakfast. These preparations lead you to the Park Headquarters for a briefing on the pursuit. At 8:00 am begin the walk slowly while making stops to take photos and identify different creatures along the way.

Throughout this guided walk, your experienced Ranger guide will offer phenomenal insight into the Park’s animals, birds, butterflies, and trees. Take the allocated one hour to photograph and watch these Giant Apes live their normal lives of foraging, resting, grooming one another, playing, and mating. Keep watch on the different gorilla antics and behaviors that strike a close resemblance to humans. Settle for a hot meal and cold bathe at the Lodge and bid the African jungle farewell. Leave for Kigali City where you will either extend your stay or return home.
